What does "one-time purchase" actually mean?
You pay once and own that version of the software permanently. No annual renewal. No price increase. No cancellation required. PathPlanner and Sanctum receive security updates through at least 2028. After that, the software keeps working on the version you purchased — permanently. You are never forced to upgrade or pay again.
What happens if I clear my browser or switch devices?
Both apps store data locally in your browser. If you clear your browser storage, data is removed from that device. This is why both apps prompt you to create encrypted backup files. Your backup file can be imported on any device to restore your data. Your licence key is delivered by email after purchase and can be re-entered at any time to reactivate the software.
Can Pathway Tech see my financial data?
No. Your financial data is encrypted on your device using a key derived from your PIN. Pathway Tech does not operate servers that receive or store your transactions, debts, or budgets. The only contact your app makes with Pathway Tech is when you enter a licence key — only the key is verified, no financial data is transmitted.
Do I need both apps, or can I use just one?
Both apps work independently. PathPlanner is for debt payoff strategy and works without Sanctum. Sanctum is for spending tracking and budgeting — it works fully without a PathPlanner plan, though the plan import unlocks the tightest ecosystem experience. The bundle is the most complete demonstration of the full design loop, but either product stands alone.
What is the Monthly Close and why is it mandatory?
The Monthly Close is a structured review Sanctum presents on the 1st–5th of each month. It shows your income, expenses, net, budget adherence, and debt payment vs plan. You must acknowledge it before accessing the dashboard. It cannot be skipped or dismissed. This is intentional: behavioral accountability built into structure — not as an optional feature — is a core design principle of Sanctum and the broader Pathway Tech architecture.
What if I forget my Sanctum PIN?
Your PIN cannot be recovered — it is never stored anywhere. This is a feature, not a limitation: it means Pathway Tech cannot be compelled to unlock your vault, and no server breach can expose your data. The correct path is to create regular encrypted backup files from Sanctum's Settings page. A backup can be restored with a new PIN on any device.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes — 14-day unconditional guarantee. If the product doesn't do what we said it does, email support@pathwaytech.co within 14 days. Full refund. No questions asked. Both apps have a free trial so you can confirm everything works before you pay. Full terms at
/legal.
What is Capsule and who is it for?
Capsule is a Business Financial Operating System designed for founders and small business owners. It answers three core questions every week: "Can I afford this?" (Decision Engine), "What should I do next?" (Weekly CFO Review), and "How long can I survive — or safely invest?" (90-Day Cash Forecast). It is not a bookkeeping tool or an accounting replacement — it is a decision-support platform that models the financial impact of your choices before you make them.
Is Capsule's data private? Does it connect to my bank?
Capsule is fully local-first. All business financial data is stored exclusively on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a passphrase you set. No financial data is ever transmitted to Pathway Tech or any third party. Capsule does not connect to banks or external services — you enter your own data, and it stays on your device.
What is the Capsule Founder Launch price and how long does it last?
The Founder Launch price is $499 one-time, available to the first 100 customers. After that, Capsule moves to the standard price of $799. The licence is lifetime — no subscription, no renewal, no expiry. Future major versions may require a separate purchase, but your current licence is permanent.
